On May 22, Enjie announced that after deliberation and approval by the board of directors of the company, it decided to terminate the investment in the construction of lithium battery isolation membrane project in Malaysia.
Enjie shares said that due to the changes in the external market environment and industry competition pattern compared with the previous period, combined with the company's actual business situation and overall strategic layout, after careful research and full evaluation, the company decided to adjust the overall investment strategy and terminate the Malaysian project in order to further optimize the allocation of resources and reduce investment risks.
According to the announcement of the company in September 2024, Shanghai Enjie, a holding subsidiary of the company, intends to set up a new subsidiary in Malaysia to invest in the construction of lithium battery isolation film project, with a total investment of about 2 billion yuan and a planned capacity of about 1 billion square meters per year.
