The national cement output was 2.363 billion tons in 2021, fell by 1.2% year-on-year

According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the cement output was 191 million tons in December 2021, with a year-on-year decrease of 11.1%; the annual cement output was 2.363 billion tons, fell by 1.2% year-on-year.

Besides, according to the statistics of China Cement Net, from the perspective of production in the past 8 years, the highest single-month cement output was in December 2020, reached 213.33 million tons; the highest cumulative cement output was in the first 12 months of 2014, reached 2,476.19 million tons.

(Note: As the scope of industrial enterprises above designated size changes every year, in order to ensure that the data of this year is comparable with that of the previous year, the number of the same period used to calculate the year-on-year growth rate of various indicators such as product output is as consistent as possible with the statistical scope of enterprises in this period, so there are discrepancies compared to the data released last year.)

In December 2021, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 4.3% year-on-year in real terms (the growth rates of added value below are the actual growth rates after deducting price factors), with an increase of 11.9% over the same period in 2019 and an average increase of 5.8% in the two years. From a month-on-month perspective, in December, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 0.42% over the previous month. In 2021, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 9.6% year-on-year, with an average growth of 6.1% in the two years.
