On August 31st afternoon, Zhejiang Economy and Trade Committee announced that the first national cement industry criteria has been compiled in Zhejiang.  New Dry Progress Enterprise Management Criteria is released and performed at that day, which means new standard coming out in cement industry.

For the new dry progress, the Management Criteria brings forward expert management requirement and technical economic target. The hot atmosphere shows the enterprises'support to the new criteria.

In recent years, the new dry process in Zhejiang and the cement industry structural adjustment have made great progress. It is reported that from the year of 2000, 69 new dry progress production lines have been set up including 12 4000-5000t/d production lines and 30 2000-3000t/d production lines, which make more than 60 million tonnes production capacity. At the same time, 313 mechanical shaft kilns are dismantled, causing over 20 million tonnes production capacity reduction. Related department estimates the new dry process will take up 80% of the total production capacity till the bottom of this year, and keeps its leading position.

Principals on this field of Zhejiang Economy and Trade Committee said that the new dry progress technique is the most advanced among the cement techniques. To bring its efficiency into play needs the most advanced management. Recently, most new dry process enterprises'predecessors are mechanical shaft kiln enterprises, still adopting the conventional manage mode and idea. So management and advanced production techniques don't match.

Because 60% of the cement cost lies in energy consumption, improving management and reducing energy consumption is the critical way to enhancing enterprises'economic benefit. Now, the average coal consumption is 122.96kg, and the electrical consumption is 70.97 kilowatt-hour for each tonne.  If it can reach the 5000 tonne kilns'energy consumption standard, that is 107kg coal consumption and 65 kilowatt-hour for each tone, as the Management Criteria regulates, it can save coal 137000 tonnes and electricity 358 million kilowatt-hour each year. In the situation of pressing supply of coal and electricity, intensifying management and reducing energy consumption is very important to the cement industry's sustainable development.
