Zoomlion’s South African agent, Cranelink, recently opened a specialist Zoomlion warehouse in the capital Johannesburg.

At the opening ceremony, a total of 300 customers and Zoomlion agents from all over South Africa, as well as representatives of Zoomlion product lines and financing companies, gathered to witness the historic moment.

Cranelink’s Zoomlion warehouse covers an area of more than 5,000 m² and includes space for offices, maintenance functions, a spare parts warehouse, product demonstrations, and machine operator training, making it the industry’s largest and most comprehensive sales and support center in South Africa. On the day of the ceremony, Zoomlion QY25V, QY50V, QY110V, RT35 and RT55 cranes and a 33X-4Z truck-mounted concrete pump were lined up on the showroom floor, their towering jibs a focal point of the display. The 110V training simulator also attracted a large number of customers who were keen to have a go. An equipment rental company boss from Johannesburg gave it the thumbs up and said, “This is the first simulator of its kind in South Africa. Even the European and American brands don’t have this type of training equipment.”

Another highlight of the opening ceremony was the event’s Chinese theme. The entire venue was decorated in red, with lanterns, fans and other traditional Chinese objects and symbols, while the waiting staff was dressed in Chinese national costumes. The ceremony was also interspersed with Chinese acrobatics, magic and other performances. Zoomlion’s African customers showed a deep interest in Chinese culture, and many stayed on long after the official ceremony had ended.

In recent years, Zoomlion’s sales in South Africa have grown steadily. Following further improvements in distribution across South Africa, sales are forecast to rise and continued success is expected.
