  On November 10, in the Street of Old County , Zhongfeng Village, two excavators began to enter the Southwest Cement Green Relocation and Technical Improvement Project Area, which marked the official start of the project.

  According to the person in charge of Industrial Service Center of Chongqing Economic and Information Commission, the green relocation and technical improvement project of Southwest Cement was included in the municipal key project management list on August 21, 2020. The project plans to invest 2 billion yuan, and the main plant area will be about 98.84 acres. A new dry process clinker production line with a daily output of 7,300 tons and its auxiliary projects will be constructed in the first phase, which will achieve an annual output value of 1.4 billion yuan and pay more than 150 million yuan in taxes after the project completes; an annual output of 4 million tons of aggregate production line, 1.2 million tons of concrete production line, 120 million pieces of machine-made brick production line, and its auxiliary projects such as municipal solid waste, hazardous and solid waste treatment facilities will be built in the second phase.

  "With the accelerated development of Tongliang Hi-Tech Zone from recent years, the leading industries planned for the Hi-Tech Zone have been adjusted into equipment manufacturing, electronic information, new materials, comprehensive health and other industries, while there are certain differences in the positioning and development between Southwest Cement Ltd. and Tongliang Hi-Tech Zone." Shen Yuan, project manager of the relocation project of Southwest Cement, introduced that the new company after relocation has more advanced production line design and stronger production capacity, meanwhile the completed green technical improvement project is more eco-friendly and efficient for solid waste treatment.
