NBS: the cement output reached 922 million tons from January to April , increased by 19.2% year-on-y

    According to the data released by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on June 16, the cement output was 243.07 million tons in May, fell by 3.2% year-on-year; from January to May, the cement output reached 922.42 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 19.2%.

    Besides, according to the data from NBS in 2019 showed that national cement output was 226.96 million tons in May and 833.2 million tons in January to May. The cement output increased by 10.7% in January to May, 2021 compared to the same period in 2019.

    In May, the value added of the industries above designated size increased by 8.8% year-on-year in real terms (the following growth rates of value added  are all actual growth rates after deducting price factors) and increased by 13.6% compared to the same period in 2019, with an average growth of 6.6% over two years. In the perspective of MoM , the value added of the industries above designated size increased by 0.52%. From January to May, the value added of the industries above designated size increased by 17.8% year-on-year, and with an average growth of 7.0% over two years.
