On October 21, China National Building Material Co., Ltd. issued an announcement that Cao Jianglin has resigned as chairman and executive director of the company, and no longer served as the chairman of the company’s strategic decision-making committee, member of the nomination committee, member of the remuneration and appraisal committee, and the position of the company’s authorized representative under Article 3.05 of Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, which would take effect from October 21, 2021.

    In addition, the Board of Directors approved the proposal to authorize the Executive Director Chang Zhangli to act as the company's chairman of the board, and to appoint Chang Zhangli as the company's authorized representative, starting from October 21, 2021. According to the Articles of Association, Chang Zhangli has been the legal representative of the company since he was elected as the chairman of the company, and the company will complete the formalities for the change of industrial and commercial registration of the legal representative as soon as possible.

    The announcement said that Cao Jianglin served as the company's executive director and president from March 2005 to June 2018, and served as the company's chairman from June 2018.

    Chang Zhangli was born in December 1970, member of the Communist Party of China, MBA of Tsinghua University, who currently serves as deputy general manager of China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd., president and executive director of China National Building Material Co., Ltd., non-executive director of China Conch Venture Holdings Co., Ltd., chairman of Southwest Cement Co., Ltd., director of China Jushi Co., Ltd. and Jushi Group Co., Ltd., chairman of the board and executive director of China Shanshui Cement Group Co., Ltd., concurrently acts as vice chairman of China Association of Listed Companies and vice chairman of Beijing Association of Listed Companies. He used to be the vice president and secretary of the board of directors of China National Building Material Co., Ltd., director of Beijing New Group Building Materials Co., Ltd., and vice chairman of Southwest Cement Co., Ltd.
