HCRDI, Najran Cement Company and NESMA Engineering Company successfully held an Operation Ceremony of 2 million t/a cement project of Najran Cement Company at NCC cement grinding plant site at 2 pm local time on April, 8, 2009.
Phase I and II of NAJRAN Cement Company projects include a 6000t/d cement production line, a 3000t/d cement production line and a 2 million t/a cement grinding station. Phase I project, 6000t/d cement production line, was completed in 2007. 3000t/d cement production line of Phase II was completed in 2008; 2 million t/a cement grinding plant was delayed and started constructing on March, 15, 2008 by NCC due to the site problem. Mr. Song Zhiping, chairman of CNBM, took this project very seriously and demanded that HCRDI should overcome any difficulty to ensure that the cement grinding plant would be put into operation before April 8th, 2009.
After unremitting efforts, HCRDI has conquered the harsh conditions of climate, transportation and life on site. The cement mill was run with load on March 5, 2009, produce qualified packed cement on March 20. During March 28 to 30, the cement mill has continuously produced required capacity under the contract for 75 hours, and then the mill has continued to produce till the cement silo has been filled. Started on March 15, 2008 and put into operation on March 5, 2009, this project takes less than one year, which is 9 months earlier than the schedule as per the contract. It creates a miracle of cement project construction in Saudi Arabia.
The successful and earlier operation of the cement grinding plant project fulfills the solemn promise made by Chairman Song Zhiping and President Xu Ning to the Prince of Saudi Arabia and NCC. It also shows HCRDI's brilliant ability in international cement project. The completion of Phase I and II of NAJRAN Cement Company projects marks that HCRDI has achieved a new level of cement project construction and management.
