< P > < FONT face = Verdana > On December 28, 2010, Gezhouba Group successfully completed the river closure of the dam of Erlesai Upper Hydropower Station in Cambodia, marking that the construction of the hydropower station has entered a new stage of main project construction. Prime Minister Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia attended the river closure ceremony and personally sent the foundation stone bound with red silk to the river closure mouth. < P > < FONT face = Verdana > At 10:46 a.m. local time, nearly 100 heavy-duty dump trucks, bulldozers and loaders of Gezhouba Group's Erlesai Project Department in Cambodia started at the same time, continuously throwing stones to the closure gap. In just ten minutes, thousands of tons of boulders and stones were filled into the closure gap. At 10:56, the closure gap was closed smoothly. At the construction site, boiling cheers announced the success of the river closure of the main project of the Erlesai Upper Dam Hydropower Station. < P > < FONT face = Verdana > It is understood that the Erlesai Hydropower Station is the largest water conservancy project in the Kingdom of Cambodia at present, of which the upper dam is a concrete face rockfill dam, with a normal water level of 263 meters, a maximum dam height of 124 meters, a total storage capacity of 401.8 million cubic meters, and an installed capacity of 2 × 103 thousand kilowatts. The Three Gorges Branch of Gezhouba Group exclusively undertakes the dam construction tasks of the upper and lower power stations. In this river closure, the river is blocked by the cut-off cofferdam at one time, the cofferdam is used to retain water in dry season, and the diversion tunnel is used to discharge; in flood season, the temporary section of the dam body is used to retain water, the diversion tunnel and the permanent flood discharge tunnel are used to discharge jointly, and the foundation pit is constructed all year round.
