the Spring Festival holidays, the Water Resources Department of Hubei Province earnestly implemented the notification requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Yangtze River Commission on the management of sand mining in rivers during the Spring Festival and the National "Two Sessions", insisted on duty, conducted a general survey of 116 illegal sand mining reporting telephones in rivers throughout the province, and put forward specific requirements for duty personnel. To organize the Huanggang base directly under the Yangtze River Sand Mining Management to carry out joint law enforcement inspection on the sensitive section of Huangshi, Ezhou, Huanggang, the main stream of the Yangtze River, and to supervise the implementation of duty, law enforcement inspection and other systems in various places, so as to ensure the stability of the management order of sand mining in the river during the Spring Festival holidays. In strict accordance with the requirements of the Notice on Strengthening the Management of Sand Mining in the Yangtze River during the Spring Festival and the "Two Sessions" issued by the Provincial Water Resources Department, the management departments of sand mining in all parts of
the province stick to the battle position of sand mining management. In the early morning of the first lunar month, the leaders of Wuhan Water Affairs Bureau went to the Municipal Water Affairs Law Enforcement Team to spot check the on-duty situation and visit the front-line law enforcement officers. The leaders of Caidian District Water Affairs Bureau and Yicheng Water Conservancy Bureau of Wuhan City, together with the law enforcement officers, took law enforcement boats to carry out law enforcement patrols in their waters. Sand mining law enforcement officers in the upper and lower rivers of the province did not fight foreign festivals, unblocked letters and visits to report and share information, and jointly carried out law enforcement patrols. A total of 35 joint law enforcement actions were carried out in counties and cities along the Yangtze River and Hanjiang River, with nearly 400 law enforcement officers and more than 80 law enforcement vehicles (boats). During the holidays, no reports of illegal sand mining were received from the masses.
Next, the Hubei Provincial Water Resources Department will continue to implement the notification requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Yangtze River Commission on the management of sand mining in rivers during the Spring Festival and the National "Two Sessions", further consolidate the responsibility of sand mining management in rivers, strengthen the management measures of sand mining in rivers, intensify routine inspection and law enforcement, and strengthen the management of sand mining in rivers. It has always maintained a stable and controllable situation in the management of river sand mining in our province.
