Taicang Wanfang Refreshes the Historical Record of the Largest Tonnage Ship Berthing to Improve the Service Capacity of Sand and Stone

On January 27, the bulk carrier "Guoyu 701" left the berth smoothly after completing the unloading operation of 69300 tons of sand and gravel at the No.3 berth of Taicang Wanfang International Terminal Co., Ltd. The ship is 235 meters long and 35 meters wide, with a deadweight of 75000 tons, setting a new record for the company's largest tonnage ship berthing.

In order to ensure the smooth berthing operation of "Guoyu 701", Taicang Wanfang actively contacted and communicated with relevant port units, timely grasped the ship berthing dynamics and cold wave weather dynamics, formulated ship berthing plans, and made every effort to seize the favorable weather opportu nity for berthing. In view of the large amount of sand and gravel ship unloading operations and tight operation time, the company organized relevant departments to hold communication and coordination meetings. On the one hand, it formulated detailed and thorough operation plans, rationally planned yard resources, optimized vehicle weighing routes, and coordinated personnel arrangements during the Spring Festival; On the other hand, the unloading mode of "uninterrupted discharge" and "one truck, two loads" is adopted to further streamline, refine and standardize the unloading mode of the rear hopper. After 48.1 hours of continuous struggle, the unloading task is successfully completed 6 hours ahead of the original plan, with an average entry efficiency of 1440 tons per hour, which refreshes the entry efficiency of the rear hopper of the whole ship. It has accumulated valuable experience for the company's normal berthing and unloading of large ships.
