Recently, led by Qilu Petrochemical Company, the engineering construction company and Shanxi Petroleum participated in the major scientific and technological research project of Sinopec Hydrogen Energy Technology, "Energy-saving Hydrocarbon Conversion Hydrogen Production Combination Technology-Light Hydrocarbon/Alcohol Modular Hydrogen Production Complete Technology Development and Hydrogen Supply Center Application Demonstration" has achieved phased results. The project has completed the R & D and industrial production of five types of core catalysts, and the evaluation results of industrial production samples show that the performance of various catalysts meets the set indicators of the project, marking a new breakthrough in R & D.
The project was launched in August 2021. Qilu Petrochemical Company has given full play to its advantages, set up a special research team, decomposed the objectives and tasks, implemented the responsibilities to people, and accelerated the design of core catalysts and modular hydrogen production units. Through laboratory preparation, characterization analysis, activity evaluation and other links, the formula with the best performance, relatively simple preparation process and low cost was obtained.
The project can be used in the hydrogen supply mother station, which will effectively reduce the cost of hydrogen users within the coverage of the mother station and realize the convenient supply of hydrogen for fuel cells. The industrial production of the core catalyst laid a solid foundation for the demonstration operation of the modular hydrogen production unit.
