Anhui and Henan signed a cooperation agreement! Cement demand involving multiple high-speed railways will be supported

On March 21, the People's Government of Henan Province and the People's Government of Anhui Province jointly signed the Agreement on Strengthening Cooperation in the Field of Transportation in Zhengzhou.

According to the agreement, the two provinces will promote the construction of cross-regional transport infrastructure as a whole, build a number of inter-provincial corridor projects, create a number of high-quality transport service brands, and focus on building a safe, convenient, efficient, green, economic, inclusive and resilient modern comprehensive transport system, so as to be a pioneer for the higher quality development of the central region.

In the construction of inter-provincial high-speed railway, the two provinces will jointly accelerate the preliminary work of the Nanyang to Hefei high-speed railway via Xinyang and the Fuyang-Huanggang section of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway, and strive to start construction as soon as possible; Actively strive for the incorporation of the railway along the Huaihe River (Nanyang-Zhumadian-Fuyang-Huainan-Bengbu-Huaian) and the Bozhou-Mengcheng section of the Bengbu-Chuning Railway into the national medium and long-term railway network planning.

In terms of inter-provincial highway construction, the two provinces will take into account the functional orientation, development needs and construction timing of the project as a whole, and accelerate the construction of inter-provincial expressways such as G3031 Shangqiu-Gushi, G3611 Nanjing-Xinyang, G4222 and County-Xiangyang; Construction of Huoqiu-Anhui-Henan section of Changfeng-Gushi Expressway, Bozhou-Dancheng, Zhoukou-Pingdingshan, Xuzhou-Minquan Expressway, etc.

Transportation infrastructure construction is an important part of stimulating cement demand. Data show that one kilometer of highway needs about 9000-10000 tons of cement, and the construction of high-speed railway needs 16000 tons of cement per kilometer. If the construction of the above high-speed railway and highway starts, it will drive the demand for cement in both places to a certain extent.
