The contracted site

project is located about 100 kilometers southeast of Upington, Northern Cape Province, South Africa, and is one of the first round of battery energy storage independent power producer procurement projects in South Africa. The contents of the project include energy storage power station system, booster station, switching station, substation and supporting lines, and the project will come into effect upon signing the contract.

As the flagship project of South Africa's new energy market, the project will help optimize South Africa's energy structure and improve the stability of the power grid, and become an important demonstration project for the development of Africa's energy storage industry.
