On October 24, the Bureau of Ecology and Environment of the Twelfth Division of the Sinkiang Production and Construction Corps issued a notice on the approval decision of five EIA documents for construction projects. It includes the photovoltaic power generation project of the 222nd Regiment of the 12th Division (Phase I 240000 kilowatts) (the implementation part in 2025) .
The announcement shows that the project is a new project, located in the northwest side of Zhundong District of Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 250.02 hectares. The installed capacity of the AC side of the
project is 120 MW , and the installed capacity of the DC side is 147.014 MWp . It is divided into 25 photovoltaic power generation units, and a total of 237,120 620W p N-type single-crystal double-sided double-glass modules are used . 375 sets of 320 kW string inverters and 25 sets of 4800 KVA box-type transformers are provided, which are transmitted to the proposed 220 kV booster station through 5 circuits of 35 kV collector cable lines. On April 8
this year, the Financial Media Center of the 12th Division of the Sinkiang Production and Construction Corps announced that the 222nd Regiment of the 12th Division had recently signed a 240000 kilowatt photovoltaic power generation project with Xinjiang Beiting Southwest Oil New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is 1 billion yuan , and it is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2027.
