On June 30, Plitt announced that its holding subsidiary, Jiangsu Haisida Power Supply Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Haisida")
and Liuyang Jingkai District of Hunan Province signed the Termination Contract of Cooperation Contract for Investment Projects in June 2025. The two sides agreed to terminate the investment in the project through consultation.
The project was announced and signed on June 1, 2023. It is planned that Haisida will set up a subsidiary company in Liuyang Economic Development Zone to invest in the construction of a 30G Wh sodium ion and lithium ion battery and system production base project with a total investment of 10.2 billion RMB.
The project was originally planned to be constructed in three phases, with an investment of about 3 billion yuan in the first phase to build a 12 GWh square battery project, an investment of about 3 billion yuan in the second phase to build a 6 GWh cylindrical battery project, and an investment of about 4.2 billion yuan in the third phase to build a 12 GWh square battery project.
It's worth pointing out that Plitt is also "betting" on solid-state batteries. At the end of March this year, Haisida semi-solid battery has been offline, and it is expected to deliver no less than 1 GWh in 2025.
