radius of one kilometer, there are three major projects, namely, industrial port, cement plant and power plant, referred to as "port, plant and power". Heping Port serves as the outlet of the plant area. The raw materials needed by the cement plant and the power plant are imported from Heping Port, and the cement products made by the cement plant are also exported from Heping Port. The cement plant and the power plant can also provide each other with the raw materials needed for the process nearby, which greatly reduces the impact on the environment. French teachers and students wanted to learn about the practice of energy recycling by visiting Taiwan Cement Peace Factory. In particular, I want to know how Taiwan Cement can achieve circular economy, how to effectively reduce energy consumption through technological processes, the progress of waste heat power generation, and the latest carbon capture technology. In the face of a series of questions from visiting French guests, colleagues in charge of the Hualien Peace Factory responded one by one, enthusiastically sharing the technical know-how of Taiwan Cement. < br/>

In order to understand the application of circular economy, a group of 21 teachers and students from the French University of Mining and Technology specially visited the Taiwan Cement and Peace Factory.
Heping Plant is close to the mountains and the sea, and the Pacific Ocean is next to the mine, which has its natural geographical advantages. The cement plant adopts a unique shaft mechanism, and the limestone in the mine is directly transported into the process through a fully enclosed mechanism to avoid dust and exhaust pollution emissions caused by automobile transportation. The existence of the
industrial port makes the transportation between the power plant and the cement plant very convenient, and the fuel needed by the power plant can be imported directly into the warehouse by ship; Clinker and cement produced by cement plants can also be exported directly by sea without land transportation, which can effectively reduce energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and transportation costs.
It is worth mentioning that the limestone powder produced by cement plants can be used as the desulfurization adsorbent required by thermal power plants, and the coal ash waste produced by thermal power plants can also be used as the raw material for cement production in cement plants. Whether it is raw materials or waste materials, cement plants and power plants provide resources and support each other through a closed and precise transportation system. There is no dust or sewage in the process, so that 100% of the waste can be converted into raw materials without waste at all.
TCC is also actively developing technologies such as "calcium loop carbon capture", "microalgae carbon sequestration" and "astaxanthin extraction", hoping to apply them to commodity innovation and develop a diversified green recycling economy.
