Recently, Inner Mongolia Alashan League Energy Bureau announced that the construction index of 600MW wind and solar hydrogen ammonia project in Guoneng Alashan High-tech Zone was abandoned. It is reported that all parts of the project have been filed in 2023 and the preliminary formalities have been completed. However, due to the decline in the market price of green ammonia, the economy of the project is not as good as expected. Unable to complete the grid connection according to the full capacity of the approved (filed) scale, the project enterprise, National Energy Creation Alashan New Energy Co., Ltd., voluntarily abandoned the construction target.
Finally, the Energy Bureau of Alxa League agreed to terminate the construction scale of the project, cancel the project approval (filing) procedures, and cancel the project demonstration qualification.
The project originally planned to invest in the construction of centralized wind power 400 MW, photovoltaic 200 MW, and supporting the construction of electrochemical energy storage 60 MW/120 MWh, with a total investment of 5.08225 billion yuan.
