Recently, the Wuhu Ecological Environment Bureau announced the first batch of "no waste cells" list, a total of 10 enterprises and units. Wuhu Conch Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Wuhu Conch Cement Co., Ltd., Anhui Digang Conch Cement Co., Ltd., and Baimashan Cement Plant of Anhui Conch Cement Co., Ltd. were selected. With green technology innovation and solid waste recycling technology, it has become a benchmark case for the construction of "waste-free city" in the whole city.
"Waste-free cell" refers to the implementation of the concept of "waste-free city" construction, the adoption of effective technical means and management measures, the promotion of green production and lifestyle, and the cultivation of solid waste reduction, recycling and harmless social life units. These units include but are not limited to factories, residential areas, schools, hotels, scenic spots, hospitals, institutions and other production and living units. Through the practice of these small units, the source reduction, resource utilization and harmless disposal of solid waste can be realized, thus effectively promoting the construction of waste-free cities.

Digang Conch Cement
Digang Conch actively responds to the national "double carbon" target strategy, implements the national carbon peak target of 2030, promotes the development of green low-carbon circular economy, and actively carries out large-scale application of new energy photovoltaic power generation. In November 2022, the company's 6.66 MWp distributed photovoltaic power generation project was successfully connected to the grid. In March 2024, the company's 6MW/36 MWh all-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage demonstration power station was connected to the grid and put into operation, gradually building a green energy application demonstration base for conch enterprises. In line with the business philosophy of "creating future living space for mankind", the
company always adheres to the principle of coordinating production and operation with environmental protection, and firmly practices the concept of "ecological priority, green development". Strictly implement the central government's decision-making and deployment on the construction of ecological civilization and the protection of the ecological environment. The company has successively completed the environmental protection upgrading and transformation of wet desulfurization system, kiln head and tail electric bags and SCR denitrification system, and achieved ultra-low emissions of particulate matter, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which meet the requirements of A-level performance rating of cement workers in key industries of heavily polluted weather. In December 2021, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Anhui Province approved the company to reach the A-level enterprise standard of environmental protection.
In order to actively respond to the national call for energy conservation and emission reduction, sustain the development of circular economy and enhance the ability of energy recycling, Baimashan Cement Plant fully relies on and gives full play to the advantages of the group, and in October 2018, it built the first demonstration line of carbon dioxide purification and capture in the world cement industry. The annual output of industrial and food-grade CO2 products is 50,000 tons; the first set of domestic high-temperature and high-dust SCR flue gas denitrification system will be completed and put into operation in June 2020; the smart agriculture demonstration greenhouse project will be completed in September 2022 relying on the demonstration project of carbon dioxide capture and purification of cement kiln flue gas.
Baimashan Cement Plant has always adhered to the sustainable development path of "green and environmental protection", and has been awarded the title of "environmental integrity enterprise" by the Department of Ecology and Environment of Anhui Province for many years. It has won a series of honors such as "Outstanding Contribution Award for Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection of China Cement", "First Prize for Science and Technology of Anhui Province in 2021", "First Prize for Science and Technology of Anhui Provincial People's Government and China Building Materials Federation". At present, the cement industry is facing the double test of energy saving, environmental protection and industrial intelligence upgrading.
