On December 4, the Ecological Environment Branch of Wanli District, Wuhu City, Anhui Province, issued the first public announcement of the environmental impact assessment of Wuhu 2GW GPC mass production and technological transformation project of Wuhu Xiexin Integrated New Energy Technology Co., Ltd .
According to the announcement, the project is a reconstruction project , which will carry out technical transformation of the existing 2GW TOPCon production line, introduce GPC battery core process equipment such as laser film opening, and improve product quality.
The project is located within the existing plant area of Wuhu GCL Integration New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Anhui Xinwu Economic Development Zone, Wanli District, Wuhu, Anhui, and the construction unit is Wuhu GCL Integration New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
According to the previous reply of Xiexin Integration on the interactive platform of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, GPC battery belongs to the BC technology path product of Xiexin Integration, which uses new passivation contact scheme and ultra-low metallization scheme to make BC battery process control easy. It has higher efficiency and lower cost.
In addition, the announcement shows that the existing 20g W high-efficiency cell manufacturing project of Wuhu GCL has been approved by the environmental impact assessment in March 2023: the first phase of 10GW has been completed and put into operation, and the second phase of 10GW has not yet been constructed; the Wuhu 2GW expansion and battery R & D pilot line project has been approved by the environmental impact assessment in October 2024, and has been completed and put into operation.
