Five mandatory national standards for building materials industry were officially issued

Recently, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, five compulsory national standards for building materials industry, such as GB 16776-2025 "Silicone Structural Sealant for Construction", formulated by the relevant Bidding Committee organized by the China Building Materials Federation, have been approved and issued by the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration (see table below). The approval and issuance of this

batch of mandatory national standards for building materials industry will further standardize and improve the quality of silicone structural sealants, decorative stone materials, safety glass, concrete admixtures, wall materials and other products, and promote the safe and high-quality development of building materials industry.

China Building Materials Federation attaches great importance to the role of mandatory national standards in keeping the bottom line. Since this year, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, it has promoted the issuance of eight mandatory national standards. At present, there are 36 compulsory national standards for building materials industry, and the compulsory national standards system has been further improved. Next, the Building Materials Federation will cooperate with the competent authorities to continue to promote the development of mandatory national standards for building insulation materials and products, graphite and fluorite, glass for rail vehicles and other products, strengthen the implementation and application of standards, and support the construction of modern building materials industry system with high standards.
