On May 29, Hubei Xiangyun Co., Ltd., in conjunction with China Chemical Wuhuan Company and Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute, signed an engineering design contract for the comprehensive utilization project of 2 million tons of phosphogypsum per year for new materials in Xinxiangyun, Hubei Province, which means that the project has entered the substantive construction stage. The project adopts the advanced and mature core process of phosphogypsum acid production, and the recovery rate of sulfur resources exceeds 98%. After putting into operation, 2 million tons of phosphogypsum solid waste can be disposed of annually, and 800000 tons of sulfuric acid and 1 million tons of cement clinker can be produced, which effectively solves the problem of phosphogypsum solid waste disposal.
