Recently, Ningxia Horse Racing, which belongs to Ningxia Building Materials, was awarded the National Certificate of Carbon Footprint Identification of Cement Products, which is the first batch in China and the first in the cement industry.
This milestone achievement marks a key step in the green and low-carbon development of building materials in Ningxia, and also provides valuable practical experience for the national cement industry to explore the carbon footprint management model and realize the green and low-carbon transformation. During the same period, Qingshui Stock and Wuzhong Horse Racing obtained the certificate of local identification of Ningxia Cement Carbon Footprint.
The certification is carried out in strict accordance with the General Implementation Rules for Product Carbon Footprint Identification Certification (Trial) and the Special Implementation Rules for Product Carbon Footprint Identification Certification (Trial) issued by the National Certification and Accreditation Regulatory Commission in 2025, and the system boundary covers the raw material acquisition stage and the product production stage. In the process of certification, the National Construction Union Credit Certification Center has carried out a comprehensive and meticulous verification of the carbon emission data collection, accounting methods and management system of the pilot units to confirm that the results of carbon footprint quantification are true, accurate and reliable.
As the first pilot province of cement carbon footprint label certification in China, Ningxia has started the basic capacity building of cement industry carbon footprint since 2024. On June 9, 2025, the Market Supervision and Management Department of the Autonomous Region officially launched the first pilot project of cement carbon footprint label certification in China. Ningxia Building Materials, as the first batch of pilot units in China, has successfully passed the national certification by virtue of its perfect carbon management system, accurate carbon emission accounting ability and remarkable emission reduction effect after careful preparation and strict audit.
