From January to May, the national cement output was 590.91 million tons, down 8.6% year on year.

On June 16, the National Bureau of Statistics announced that in May, the industrial added value above the scale increased by 4.5% year-on-year (the growth rate of added value is the real growth rate after deducting price factors), and the growth rate was 0.4 percentage points faster than last month. On a month-on-month basis, in May, the value added of industries above designated size increased by 0.40% over the previous month. From January to May, the added value of industries above scale increased by 5.4% year on year. The national output of the

cement industry in May was 14991 million tons, down 8.1% year-on-year; the national output of cement from January to May was 59091 million tons, down 8.6% year-on-year.
