Accused of "Stealing Electricity" for More Than 8 Years, the Company Was Sued by the State Grid

15, Zhenghong Science and Technology announced that Yueyang Xiangcheng Real Estate Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Xiangcheng Real Estate"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, had recently received a summons from the People's Court of Yueyang Lou District, Yueyang City, Hunan Province. The case of Yueyang Power Supply Branch of Hunan Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Yueyang Power Supply Company of State Grid"), which was accepted by the court, will be heard on October 28 .

According to the announcement, the two sides had previously signed the "High Voltage Power Supply Contract", which stipulated that the electricity user should not forge or open the electricity metering device sealed by the power supplier, and that the electricity metering device should not be inaccurate or invalid. In case of violation, the electricity charge for breach of contract shall be calculated and paid at three times of the supplementary electricity charge.

However, on November 20, 2025, the State Grid Yueyang Power Supply Company carried out an electricity inspection on Xiangcheng Real Estate and found that the seal of the electricity metering device was opened privately and the wiring of the legal metering device was changed, resulting in less metering of the electricity metering device (electricity theft) . Later, Hunan Pingzheng Electric Power Consulting Co., Ltd. confirmed that during the period from January 1, 2017 to November 20, 2025, the total cost of electricity theft in Xiangcheng was 8.6948 million yuan .

Based on this, the State Grid Yueyang Power Supply Company requested the court to decide that Xiangcheng Real Estate should pay about 8.6948 million yuan for electricity theft and 4.8696 million yuan for breach of contract, totaling about 13.5644 million yuan .

Faced with the claim of tens of millions of yuan, Zhenghong Science and Technology said in the announcement that the civil lawsuit was caused by the theft of national electricity by the former electrician of Xiangcheng Real Estate and the staff of Yueyang Power Supply Company of the State Grid. At present, the criminal case is under trial, and the amount of criminal compensation is uncertain.
