On July 4, Ambassador to Algeria Li Lianhe went to Jelfa Province to inspect the Jelfa Cement Plant Project jointly operated by China Construction Algeria Company and Sinoma Construction Algeria Branch and Algeria. < br/>
Ambassador Li first went to the plant area to inspect the construction of the project and listened to the reports of the Chinese responsible person and the Algerian representative on the project. Ambassador Li also expressed his condolences to the construction and management personnel of the project, and affirmed their spirit of hard work and dedication. < br/>
Ambassador Li pointed out that China and Argentina signed the "Belt and Road" cooperation agreement last year, creating a broader space for cooperation between the two countries. The Jelfa Cement Plant project is the largest investment project of a Chinese company in Afghanistan at present, and plays an important leading role in the cooperation between China and Afghanistan in the field of investment. It is hoped that with the joint efforts of China and Algeria, the project will be implemented smoothly and contribute to Algeria's economic development and practical cooperation between China and Algeria. The Chinese Embassy will, as always, support Chinese enterprises to strengthen cooperation with Arab enterprises, jointly tap the potential and push China-Arab pragmatic cooperation to a new level. < br/>
The head of CSCEC thanked Ambassador Li and the embassy for their concern and support for the company, and said that the company would live up to its mission, fully implement the projects under construction, actively respond to the "Belt and Road" initiative, and contribute to the further development of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. < br/>
