According to Joel Jean, CEO and co-founder of Swift Solar, in the announcement, through the acquisition. The company will have access to GW-class heterojunction manufacturing equipment , a global intellectual property portfolio , and a team of professionals in manufacturing, equipment, and batteries.
The team will be led by Marcel Koenig, former CEO Gunter Erfurt of Meyerberg and former head of global research and development.
"This acquisition will allow Swift Solar to rapidly establish GW solar manufacturing capabilities in the United States." Joel Jean said.
At the same time, Joel Jean revealed the next plan: to build a GW heterojunction cell and module factory in the United States, then introduce perovskite stack technology, and finally realize the leading layout of solar technology route. According to the
data, Meyerberg has built a GW heterojunction module factory in Arizona, USA, but it has stopped production with the bankruptcy of Meyerberg. In addition, Meyerberg also laid out heterojunction battery production capacity in Colorado, USA, but the project was suspended in August 2024.

It is reported that Meyerberg and Solestial established a strategic partnership in August 2024, and the two sides had planned to achieve an annual production capacity of 1 MW solar cells by mid-2025. However, the cooperation was eventually terminated due to the bankruptcy of the German subsidiary of Meyerberg.
