On April 30, the Three Gorges Energy announced that the Board of Directors of the Three Gorges Energy had considered and approved the Bill on the Transfer of 200 MW Photovoltaic Sand Control Project Assets in Wuwei, Gansu Province by Non-public Agreement.
Data show that the 200 MW photovoltaic sand control project in Wuwei, Gansu Province, located in Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is one of the first batch of wind power and photovoltaic base projects in the 14th Five-Year Plan of Gansu Province.

Gansu Wuwei 200000 kW Photovoltaic Sand Control Project (Tuyuan Three Gorges Energy Official Website)
has a total installed capacity of 200000 kW , which is connected to the newly built 330 kV substation by 8 35 kV collector lines. A 40 MW/80 MWh energy storage power station and a 330 kV collection station will be built, and the collection booster station will be connected to the 750 kV Hexi substation of the State Grid with a 330 kV line.
The project covers an area of 6.57 square kilometers and is built on the unused sandy land of the Tengger Desert. The project adopts a new industrial model of "photovoltaic + sand control" of "power generation on the board, planting under the board, sand control and soil improvement" .
Previously, the project has achieved full capacity grid-connected power generation in September 2023.
