Down 56% year on year! National photovoltaic installed capacity data released in March!

On April 23, the National Energy Administration released the national electricity statistics from January to March.

By the end of March, the total installed capacity of power generation in China was 3.96 billion kilowatts , up 15.5% year on year. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power was 1 billion 240 million kilowatts , an increase of 31.3% over the same period. From January to

According to the previously disclosed calculation of 59.71 million kilowatts of new photovoltaic installed capacity in China from January to March 2025, the new photovoltaic installed capacity in China from January to March 2026 decreased by about 31% compared with the same period last year.

According to the previously disclosed calculation of 32.48 million kilowatts of new photovoltaic installed capacity in January-February 2026, 8.91 million kilowatts of new photovoltaic installed capacity were added in March 2026.
