Xuzhou Zhonglian Photovoltaic Storage Integration Project (10 MW/20 MWh hybrid energy storage + 11.38 MW photovoltaic) has been successfully put into operation, initiating the synergistic technology of "lithium iron phosphate + all-vanadium liquid flow", realizing the intelligent closed-loop of industrial source network load storage, and providing a replicable demonstration for the low-carbon transformation of cement industry.

Recently, the optical storage integration project of Xuzhou Zhonglian Cement Co., Ltd., invested by China Material Overseas, has successfully achieved a breakthrough in key nodes-full capacity grid-connected on December 30, 2025, and officially put into operation on March 16, 2026. It marks that the region-level "hybrid energy storage + photovoltaic" integrated demonstration project has been put into operation, injecting strong green momentum into the low-carbon transformation of traditional industrial enterprises. The project deeply integrates photovoltaic power generation and hybrid energy storage technology to build a clean energy supply system of "self-use, flexible regulation, safety and efficiency". The total installed capacity of the

project is 10 MW/20 MWh, and the total photovoltaic capacity is 11.38 MW, forming a complete green energy link of "photovoltaic power generation + hybrid energy storage", which is different from the single energy supply mode. The project captures clean energy through the photovoltaic system, and realizes the storage, allocation and complementarity of energy by relying on the hybrid energy storage system. It can not only maximize the consumption of photovoltaic clean energy, avoid the waste of light, but also accurately match the power demand of cement production, provide continuous and stable power support for production links, build a closed-loop intelligent energy system with deep integration of power generation side, energy storage side and power consumption side, and realize the intelligent coordination and optimal operation of the whole life cycle of energy production, storage, consumption and regulation. technical route, the project breaks through the limitation of traditional single energy storage, adopts the innovative scheme of "lithium iron phosphate + all-vanadium flow" hybrid energy storage, and configures 9.225MW/18.44MWh lithium iron phosphate battery and 0.5MW/2MWh all-vanadium flow battery. The advantages of the two technologies complement each other, lithium iron phosphate can quickly respond to short-term load fluctuations, and all-vanadium redox flow batteries have both high safety and long life, achieving the dual objectives of "short-term peak shaving + long-term energy storage", adapting to the energy demand of cement industry, and providing a replicable demonstration paradigm for industrial energy storage. During the commissioning of the hybrid energy storage system of the

project, facing multiple technical difficulties, the project team closely combined with the actual power consumption scenario of the cement plant, and continuously optimized the system integration and operation strategy. Through repeatedly debugging the coordinated control algorithm of photovoltaic-storage EMS and conducting multi-round simulation tests, the project execution team accurately matched the two energy storage technologies with the coordinated operation of photovoltaic system and production load, successfully overcome a series of technical difficulties, ensured the smooth grid-connected operation of energy storage power station, realized the real-time regulation and control of charging and discharging power of energy storage system, and effectively increased charging and discharging.
