Today, we bring Tan Zhongming, former chairman and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China National Materials Group Co., Ltd.

Tan Zhongming was born in 1953 in Weifang, Shandong Province. In 1978, he entered the Portland Engineering Department of Nanjing Institute of Chemical Technology to study cement, and formed an indissoluble bond with the cement industry. After that, Tan Zhongming continued to climb the academic peak and received a master's degree in engineering and a doctor's degree in management from Xi'an Jiaotong University. In July

In July 1995, Tan Zhongming joined the State Bureau of Building Materials through organizational selection and transfer, and successively served as the head and director of the Production Coordination Department of the State Bureau of Building Materials, the executive vice president of the China Building Materials Industry Association, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the directly affiliated organs of the State Bureau of Building Materials, and the director of the Industry Management Department of the State Bureau of Building Materials. During his five years in the National Bureau of Building Materials, Tan Zhongming actively promoted energy conservation and emission reduction in the cement and glass industries, personally organized the formulation and revision of dozens of national and industrial standards for cement, glass and ceramics in China, presided over the establishment of the China Cement Building Materials Product Quality Certification Center, and promoted the internal management of the China Building Materials Association. It has made important contributions to the reform and development of China's building materials industry.

In the reform of state institutions at the end of 2000, Tan Zhongming was transferred to the then China Non-metallic Mining Group (Sinoma Group). In 2016, China National Materials Group Co., Ltd. and China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. were reorganized into China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. as general manager.

At that time, China Nonmetallic Minerals Group Corporation was basically an enterprise group dominated by scientific and technological enterprises, with 13 scientific research and design units and 70-80 subsidiaries, but its industrial base was weak, with a total annual revenue of only 1 billion yuan and an annual profit of only about 45 million yuan.

Faced with the current situation of "strong scientific research and thin industry", Tan Zhongming is determined to start with consolidating the industrial foundation of enterprises. The way is to make use of a number of promising scientific and technological achievements of the group to vigorously develop high-tech industries. But just developing high-tech industries is not all Tan Zhongming's goal. This well-informed doctor is well versed in the prospects and importance of the international market, and accordingly transforms the group from a simple scientific and technological enterprise to a "scientific and technological, industrial and international" enterprise. To this end, Tan Zhongming combines scientific and technological innovation with industrial development. Firstly, focusing on the construction of industrial parks, a number of high-tech industrial parks have been developed. For example, the Group has built a science and technology industrial park in Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone, a CNG industrial base in Suzhou Singapore Industrial Park, a "Glass Fiber and Composite Materials Industrial Park" and a "High-tech Industrial Ceramics Industrial Park" in Shandong Zibo High-tech Development Zone, and a "Western Guangdong Industrial Base" in Guangdong Fuyun City. At the same time, with advanced technology as the cornerstone, Tan Zhongming led all Sinoma people to launch an international strategic layout. During Tan Zhongming's tenure in September 2012, China National Materials Group has completed and is building more than 120 foreign cement production lines, involving nearly 70 countries and regions such as Spain, Italy, Russia and France. The cement technology and equipment engineering industry not only occupies the vast majority of the domestic market share, but also has an international market share of 34%. The company's SINOMA brand has become an internationally renowned brand, which is the best sector for Sinoma Group to develop overseas.

On the whole, during Tan Zhongming's more than 10 years in office, China National Materials Group has developed from a small and difficult enterprise to a large enterprise with three major industries, with the cement engineering construction industry ranking first in the world, the leading position in the w estern cement manufacturing industry, and leading domestic and international industries in many high-tech materials industries. However, in 2012, Tan Zhongming, who struggled for the building materials industry all his life, died of illness on his way to work, and both inside and outside the industry were very sad. Fifty-nine years of short life, 44 years of hard work and dedication. Tan Zhongming's life is a glorious life and a struggling life. He dedicated his glorious years to Sinoma Group and China's building materials industry selflessly, fearlessly, without regret and with a clear conscience, which is worth remembering and remembering forever.
