The reporter learned from the Department of Commerce of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that in the first half of this year, the overall price of coal in Inner Mongolia showed a slight fluctuation and decline. The average monthly sales price of coal was 407 yuan/ton, down 9.2% year-on-year. The average monthly sales volume of coal in monitoring enterprises was 9.86 million tons, down 8.4% year-on-year.
According to the analysis, there are three main reasons for the fall in the volume and price of the coal market in Inner Mongolia in the first half of the year: First, in the absence of a significant improvement in China's macro-economy, the output growth rate of major downstream coal industries such as crude steel, cement, and thermal power generation in China has fallen, and the demand for coal has decreased. In order to maintain operation, coal enterprises have no choice but to lower their sales prices; Second, at present, the social coal inventory is relatively sufficient, and the supply is increasing steadily, while the downstream coal demand is still lower than social supply on the whole, and the market supply exceeds demand; third, in the first half of the year, Inner Mongolia imported 8.219 million tons of coal, which is mainly characterized by the increase in volume and the decrease in price, which has a certain impact on the coal market of the whole region, resulting in the weak operation of the coal market and the decrease in both volume and price.
At present, Inner Mongolia has adopted a series of policies to stimulate the coal market, such as lowering, canceling some coal charges and liberalizing the merger and reorganization of coal enterprises. In addition, with the arrival of the high temperature season, the demand for electricity has increased, and the enthusiasm of coal purchasing in power plants has increased. It is expected that from July, coal sales in Inner Mongolia will have a new "turning point", and the sales volume will gradually increase in the later period. However, the pressure of rising coal prices is still greater.
