Mexico's Cemex, one of the world's largest cement makers, said Thursday that its subsidiary, Cemex Latin America Holdings, will invest $35 million over three years to boost cement capacity at its Colorado plant in Costa Rica.
The project will increase cement production capacity by about 25%, Cemex said in a statement. It also includes the construction of a new grinder.
The plant will have an annual capacity of 1.1 million tonnes by 2017, according to the statement.
