Philippine cement sales in the first half of 11.91 million tons, up 11% year-on-year.

   According to the Philippine Star on July 29, the total sales volume of cement in the Philippines in the first half of this year was 11.91 million tons, an increase of 11.1% over the same period last year. Sales in the second quarter were 6.21 million tons, up 12.5% year-on-year. The government's increased infrastructure construction is one of the reasons for the increase in cement sales. Last year, the Philippines sold 21.305 million tons of cement, an increase of 9.5% over the previous year.
