According to big cement data, Vietnam exported 5.01 million tons of cement clinker from January to February this year, shrinking by 3.26% compared with 2019.
In February, Vietnam exported 540,000 tons of cement clinker to China, with the average price falling by 8.86% year-on-year. Compared with 1 million 246 thousand tons in January, the ring ratio fell off a cliff.
From January to February, the proportion of cement clinker exported from Vietnam to China dropped to 35.7%.
Last year, China imported 22.7 million tons of clinker, of which more than 15 million tons came from Vietnam and more than 2 million tons from South Korea. Affected
by the global epidemic, the trade volume of cement clinker this year may show a trend of low before and high after. With the release of demand in the later period, China's import volume may remain relatively stable throughout the year.
