On April 10, Dangote Group's Okeplla project, contracted by Sinoma International (Nanjing), held a grand commencement ceremony in Edo State, Nigeria.
Okeplla Project is located in Edo State in the south-central part of Nigeria, covering an area of nearly 10,000 mu. It is planned according to the scale of four clinker cement production lines with a daily output of 6,000 tons . The first phase is a clinker cement production line with a daily output of 6,000 tons, with a contract value of 278 million US dollars. The scope of the project is from mine crushing to cement packaging. This project is the 13th cement project jointly constructed by Sinoma International (Nanjing) and Dangote Group in the past 8 years, and it is also another major investment of Dangote Group in the African market in the context of the decline in global cement investment.
The Minister of Mineral Resources of Nigeria, the Minister of Trade, Investment and Industry of Nigeria, the Governor of Edo State, the Governor of Koji State, the Governor of Kano State and other government officials, as well as nearly a thousand guests, including community kings and chiefs, attended the opening ceremony accompanied by Mr. Dangote, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Edwin, the CEO and others. Huang Ping, Vice General Manager of Sinoma International (Nanjing), and Chen Gong, Vice General Manager of Suzhou Sinoma Construction Co., Ltd., were invited to attend the ceremony.
The project team of Sinoma International (Nanjing) said that the foundation of the project is a starting point for the construction of the whole project. The project department will continue to perform the contract conscientiously, organize meticulously, manage scientifically and plan project construction rationally, provide first-class service and quality to the owners, and contribute to the infrastructure and economic development of Nigeria.
