Angola's Economic Difficulties Zhongji Cement Plant Does Not Forget Its Original Aspiration to Give Back to Local Education Donations

   On May 30, entrusted by Zhu Ying, the general manager of Zhongji Cement Plant, Zhan Jinzhou, the deputy general manager, and Li Jie, the assistant general manager, came to Bom Jesus Central Primary School on the banks of the Kwanza River and donated a batch of materials to the school on behalf of the company to support the educational activities in the area. Thousands of teachers and students lined the streets to warmly welcome the guests from Zhongji Cement Plant. President Diago chinbenda Daniel, on behalf of all the teachers and students, introduced the basic situation of the school to the guests, thanked Zhongji Cement Plant for its strong support to the school, and expressed gratitude to all the cadres and staff of Zhongji Cement Plant.

   This time, Zhongji Cement Plant donated a toilet and shower converted from a container, 20 beds and bedding, a computer and a batch of sports and school supplies to the school. Bom Jesus Primary School is the central primary school of Bom Jesus Town, with 1213 students and 20 faculty members. Clean and tidy toilets and showers solve the problems of toilet and bath for teachers and students, while 20 beds are used to solve the problem of accommodation for teachers and staff.

   Located in the town of Bom Jesus, Zhongji Cement Plant is a famous foreign-funded enterprise in Angola and the largest cement producer in Angola. Over the past six years, Zhongji Cement Plant has always maintained good cooperative relations with the local government and lived in harmony with the surrounding residents. While achieving good economic benefits, it has been enthusiastic about public welfare for a long time, never forgetting to give back to the society, actively assuming social responsibility, benefiting local residents while developing local resources, and has won wide acclaim.

   Since the beginning of 2016, the economic benefits of the cement plant have also been greatly affected by the serious economic downturn in Angola and the rising price of diesel oil, but the life of the local people is more difficult. After many times of on-the-spot understanding of the actual needs of the school, in line with the principle of saving resources and increasing efficiency, the leaders of the cement plant decided to integrate the existing materials and do something within their power. The existing container is used to transform a toilet for the school, which integrates bathing and testing. After receiving the task, the production workshop, while guaranteeing the production task, draws manpower and uses spare time to complete it in a week. The donation was praised by the local government and the public. Jos José Alberto, an official of the local education Bureau who attended the donation ceremony, highly praised the cement plant for its high sense of social responsibility and wished Zhongji Cement Plant better and better.
