   According to Liu Lijia, Director of Global Infrastructure and Strategic Accounts of LafargeHolcim Group, LafargeHolcim Group is the world's leading cement producer, with production sites in 90 countries engaged in cement, aggregate and concrete business. Formed in 2015 by the merger of Paris-based Lafarge and Zurich-based Holcim, the new group employs more than 100,000 people and has annual sales of CHF 29.5 billion. Production capacity is evenly distributed in developed countries in Europe and the United States and developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, covering more than half of the total number of countries involved under the Chinese government's "the Belt and Road" strategy. Among them, the production capacity in China is 100 million tons, which is the major shareholder of two listed companies, Sichuan Shuangma (SZ000935) and Huaxin Cement (SH600801).

   Li Qiang, general manager of China Jiaotong East Africa Regional Center, said that under the guidance of the Chinese government's strategy of "going out" and "the Belt and Road", China Jiaotong, as a leading enterprise, has actively carried out overseas business, achieved good results in the international market and maintained a sustained and steady development trend. In 2016, CCCC ranked No.3 in the ENR225 Global Construction Contractors Ranking, and CCCC and LafargeHolcim Group became strategic partners to give full play to their technological and resource advantages and jointly enhance their competitiveness in the international market.

   According to previous reports, LafargeHolcim Group and China Jiaotong Construction have carried out good cooperation in the Middle East and Africa. In particular, the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway in Kenya is the first overseas all-China standard railway, and the in-depth cooperation in technology and standards and the establishment of strategic partnership between the two sides in the project will promote the coordinated development and win-win situation among industries.
