Red Lion Holding Group, headquartered in Lanxi, Jinhua, actively responds to the national "one belt and one way" strategy, and jointly invests with Nepal Shivam Group in Nepal Red Lion Hope Cement Project, which is the largest cement project invested by Chinese enterprises in Nepal and one of the five "one belt and one road" projects implemented by Red Lion Group. On February 28, at the 14th Annual Meeting of Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI), Nepalese Red Lion Hope Cement Company won the Honorary Award for Chinese Enterprise Investment in Nepal, which is the only Chinese company that won the award in the field of investment in Nepal. Mahala, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Nepal, presented the medal specially.
Hongshi Group is one of the twelve national large-scale cement enterprises supported by the state. It is one of the top 500 private enterprises in China and one of the top 500 manufacturing enterprises in China. It has two major industries of cement (including related industries) and investment. It has more than 40 large-scale cement enterprises in 10 provinces such as Zhejiang and Jiangxi, with a cement production capacity of 80 million tons. It ranks first among the top 100 private building materials enterprises in China in 2016. In 2013, Red Lion Group implemented the "going out" strategy and planned to build five large-scale new dry cement projects in Myanmar, Nepal, Indonesia and Laos.
Nepalese Red Lion Hope Cement Project is located in Nawalparasi County, Lumbini Prefecture, to build a new dry process cement production line with a daily output of 6000 tons and a supporting 12 MW pure low-temperature waste heat power generation project, covering an area of about 3000 mu (including about 1000 mu of plant area and about 2000 mu of mine), with a total investment of 350 million US dollars, using world-class new dry process technology. According to the high-standard construction of intelligent manufacturing and clean production, the annual output of high-grade cement is 2.3 million tons, the sales revenue is about 300 million US dollars, more than 500 new jobs are directly added and more than 2000 jobs are indirectly added, which can promote the development of logistics, packaging, accessories and other related industries, and promote the faster development of local economy.
The main project of the project started construction in January this year and was constructed by Handan Sinoma. At present, there are more than 420 construction workers on the site. The basic construction of the kiln, kiln tail, raw material distribution station, central control room and dormitory building has been completed. All the work is progressing in an orderly manner as planned. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in April 2018.
