On April 14, Song Zhiping, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of China Building Materials Group, met with Diego Guelar, Ambassador of Argentina to China. In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the two sides fully exchanged and reached an agreement, taking the cement project under construction as an opportunity, relying on the overall resources and advantages of the Group, to promote comprehensive cooperation with Argentina in new energy fields such as engineering construction, wind power and photovoltaic.
Song Zhiping briefed Diego Guelar and his delegation on the business and development of the Group. He said that China Building Materials Group is the world's largest manufacturer of building materials, the largest integrated service provider of building materials, cement and glass international engineering market share of 65%. In 2017, Sinoma Overseas Company, a subsidiary of the Group, successfully signed a cement production line project with a daily output of 5,800 tons in Ramani, Argentina, which laid a good foundation for further strengthening cooperation between the two sides. He hoped that with the strong support of Mr. Ambassador, the Group would carry out in-depth cooperation with Argentine enterprises in various fields on the basis of existing cooperation and make due contributions to the economic prosperity and development of the two countries.
Diego Guelar said that in recent years, Arab-Chinese relations have developed well and economic cooperation has entered a new stage of development. Argentina has a huge demand for housing, transportation, energy and other infrastructure construction, and welcomes China Building Material Group and its affiliated enterprises to actively carry out business in Argentina and strengthen cooperation with local enterprises. He highly praised the Group's good performance and achievements in the development of its existing business in Argentina, and said that he would continue to work to promote in-depth exchanges between Argentina and China in order to promote cooperation in various fields in Argentina.
In the future, CNBM Group will increase its investment in the South American market, seize the favorable opportunity and do a good job in the industrial development in South America; the Argentine Embassy will play the role of platform and window to promote the docking between CNBM Group and Argentine government departments and relevant industrial enterprises.
