US: Texas Industries Releases Fourth Quarter Profit Report

< DIV align = justify > Texas Industries' 2006 fiscal fourth quarter report showed that the company's profit grew rapidly in the fourth quarter of 2006 compared with the same period last year.
< DIV align = justify > The Dallas cement maker said net income was $41.9 million, or $1.58 a share, compared with $26.7 million, or $1.09 a share, in the fourth quarter of 2005.
< DIV align = justify > The company's California plant is currently being expanded and re-equipped with modern equipment, and is expected to be ready for production in late fall or early winter 2007. After completion, the plant's production capacity is expected to increase by 1 million tons per year. The Texas plant is also being expanded, and with this opportunity, the California project will increase the annual cement production capacity of the Texas industry from 5 million tons to 7.5 million tons in the next 4-5 years.

The market value of listed companies is calculated according to the closing price on November 14, 2025, and the valuation of non-listed companies is estimated with reference to the listed companies in the same industry or according to the latest round of financing.
