JA Solar and Larsen & amp; EPC Contractor for Samarkand 1 & 2 Solar PV Power Plants in Uzbekistan Toubro (L & T) signed a component supply agreement. According to the contract, JA Solar will provide all photovoltaic modules for the two utility-scale projects, consolidating its role as a key solution provider for energy transformation in Central Asia. The Samarkand 1 and 2 projects, developed

by ACWA Power, are located near the central city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, with a total installed capacity of 1.2 GW. The two projects are expected to generate enough electricity to power hundreds of thousands of homes and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 1 million tons per year. These projects will help Uzbekistan achieve its national goal of 25% renewable energy generation by 2030.
