Recently, the 2 million kilowatt beach photovoltaic demonstration project of China Nuclear Tianwan, jointly built by China Nuclear Huineng, Jiangsu Nuclear Power and Lianyungang local state-owned assets, has officially started the construction of the main offshore project.
The project, with a total investment of 9.88 billion yuan and an approved sea area of about 28,000 mu, is the first batch of offshore photovoltaic projects approved by the State Council in China, and is also the largest demonstration project of three-dimensional layered sea use in China.
The project is located in the warm water discharge sea area of Tianwan Nuclear Power Station, adopting the three-dimensional composite sea use mode of nuclear and light complementarity, and supporting the construction of 200 MW/400 MWh energy storage power station . It is the largest offshore photovoltaic project in China, the first multi-energy complementary demonstration project of "nuclear, thermal, optical and storage" in the world and the largest energy storage supporting project in Jiangsu Province. The total installed capacity of Houtianwan Base will exceed 10 million kilowatts.
