According to foreign media reports, on February 7, the 60 MW (DC side) Mabini Solar Energy Project, invested and developed by Trina Solar, officially broke ground in San Pedro Village, Mabini Town, Pangasinan Province, Philippines.

It is understood that the Mabini solar project uses ground-mounted photovoltaic technology , with a total investment of 1.9 billion Philippine pesos (about 225 million yuan ). It covers a total area of 41.25 hectares.
According to Trina Solar, Mabini Solar Project, as its first new project in the Philippines, is expected to be put into commercial operation by the end of the third quarter of 2026. Upon commissioning, the project is expected to generate approximately 110.84 GWh of clean electricity per year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 24,000 households.
In addition, according to the Philippine Investment Promotion Commission (BOI), the project took only 11 months from pre-development to ground-breaking, compared with an average of two years for similar projects in the Philippines.
