On October 7, Japanese photovoltaic manufacturer TOYO Co. Held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its photovoltaic module manufacturing plant in Humble, Texas, USA, marking the expansion of the plant's capacity to 2G W. In November

2024, TOYO announced that it would acquire the equity of the module factory project company in Texas held by Solar Plus Technology LLC, an American photovoltaic company, through its subsidiary. At that time, the plant had a planned capacity of 2.5g W and planned to expand to 6.5g W by 2029. In October 2025, the PV module plant started commercial operation, with an annual production capacity of 1GW. At the beginning of June
this year, TOYO announced plans to expand the capacity of 1.5g W heterojunction batteries at the Texas plant, with a planned investment of $357 million in phases. It is expected that the whole project will be completed and put into preliminary trial production within 20 months. After the plan was disclosed, TOYO announced that it would raise $50 million for the Texas plant expansion project and other purposes.
On the day of the ribbon cutting ceremony, Takahiko Onozuka, chairman and CEO of TOYO, said, "The completion of the 2GW module expansion in Texas is an important milestone for TOYO, and our next step is to use HJT technology to manufacture batteries."
On September 23, Indian photovoltaic companies disclosed Websol Energy System that they had acquired a piece of land with an area of about 54.2 acres (about 329.01 acres) for the construction of photovoltaic manufacturing projects.
The land is located in West Bengal, eastern India, where the Websol Energy System plans to build 4G W photovoltaic cells and 4GW modules. The project is divided into two phases, with a capacity of 2G W in each phase.
It is reported that the company currently has 1.2G W PERC battery capacity and 550 MW module capacity.

On September 21, Indian photovoltaic manufacturer Premier Energies Limited announced that its 7GW TOPCon battery factory in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, was officially put into operation. The company's total battery production capacity rose to 10.6 GW, making it the largest battery manufacturer in India.

It is reported that the above-mentioned battery factory covers an area of 101 acres (613.1 mu), with a total investment of 32.93 billion Indian rupees (about 2.277 billion yuan, 1 yuan ≈ 14.461 Indian rupees), and will produce N-type TOPCon G12R batteries. The design capacity is nearly 88,000 tablets per hour.
At the same time, the plant design also takes into account the subsequent technology upgrades, which are compatible with the next generation TOPCon + technologies such as Poly-Finger metallization and advanced edge quarantine technology.
Foreign media reported that as of June this year, the production capacity of Premier Energies Limited components has reached 11.1 GW; the company's orders in hand amounted to 150 billion Indian rupees, all from India.
In addition, the company plans to expand the production capacity of 10g W silicon ingots and wafers , 18000 tons of aluminium frame and 12 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
