On September 30, the Iraqi DCC second-line 6000t/ d clinker cement production line and supporting 50 MW photovoltaic project contracted by Suzhou Sinoma EPC successfully obtained the FAC certificate issued by the owner DELTA Group. It marks the successful achievement of all contract objectives, such as the implementation of project construction, the performance assessment of the whole line, and the closed-loop management of the defect liability period, so as to achieve the complete performance of the project and the formal and comprehensive handover.
This project is located in Sulaymaniyah Province, Kurdistan, Iraq. Under the innovative cooperation mode of Suzhou Sinoma and Sinoma Overseas, it has successfully completed the integrated construction and coordinated delivery of the cement main line and 50 MW photovoltaic green energy project. It fully demonstrates the system integration service strength of Sinoma International in the field of integration and development of traditional cement engineering and new energy green low-carbon business.
The project officially started construction on February 8, 2024, covering the whole EPC chain of design, procurement, civil engineering, installation and commissioning. During the construction of the project, the on-site team faced multiple realistic challenges, such as complex external environment, extreme high temperature climate, cross-border logistics blockage, difficult coordination of territorial resources, and intensive multi-professional cross-interface operations, and strictly implemented the management ideas of pre-planning, planning guidance and fine execution, so as to continuously strengthen the whole process of safety, quality and progress. Overcome difficulties and steadily promote the implementation of key milestones: the commissioning of the cement system was achieved on December 24, 2024; the production line was successfully ignited on June 30, 2025, and the PAC certificate was obtained on December 3 of the same year. The project achieved efficient performance of the whole process.
Standing at the new starting point of the successful closure of the project, Suzhou Sinoma will continue to do a good job in the follow-up technical support and life-cycle service support of the project, continue to deepen cooperation with DELTA Group in production and operation optimization, factory intelligent upgrading, green and low-carbon transformation, and actively explore the markets of Iraq and the Middle East, so as to promote the development of the project.
