On June 15, the launching ceremony of 2026 Hubei Energy Conservation Publicity Week was held in Han. Deng Xikun, Director of Cement Business of Huaxin Building Materials and Secretary-General of Provincial Cement Association, read out the Proposal for Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction on behalf of Huaxin. As a benchmark enterprise of green low-carbon development in building materials industry, Huaxin will further cultivate carbon reduction technology, iterate green products, export industry standards, and promote the green transformation of the whole chain of building materials.
This publicity week is sponsored by the Hubei Development and Reform Commission, with the theme of "a new starting point for energy conservation, low carbon to the future", comprehensively implementing the national carbon peak and major strategic deployment, based on the key nodes of the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, bringing together key parks, key energy-using units, universities and scientific research institutions in the province. Talk about the new path of energy saving and carbon reduction, and draw a new blueprint for green development. The 2026 Hubei Energy Conservation Publicity Week will last until June 21. At the ceremony, representatives from five different fields read out proposals for energy conservation and carbon reduction in turn, and issued joint initiatives based on their own industries, sounding the clarion call for coordinated carbon reduction from all walks of life in the province. In reading out the proposal,
Deng Xikun said that in view of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Huaxin has made full preparations for docking the national carbon market, and will continue to cultivate alternative fuel technologies and explore frontier areas such as carbon capture and utilization and green hydrogen application; Accelerate the industrialization of green products such as phosphogypsum acid co-production of low-carbon cement, and actively export low-carbon technology standards and successful experience to the industry. Huaxin calls on colleagues in the whole province to adhere to the drive of scientific and technological innovation, speed up the elimination of inefficient production capacity, jointly promote the green upgrading of the whole chain of building materials industry, and contribute a solid building materials force to the construction of beautiful China.
In recent years, Huaxin has always regarded green and low carbon as its long-term core development strategy, and actively played a leading and exemplary role in large-scale building materials enterprises in the face of the national "double carbon" strategic goal, not only in technological innovation and intelligent manufacturing, but also in the formulation of national, industrial and local carbon emission reduction and carbon measurement standards. It provides valuable "Huaxin experience" for the exploration of energy saving and carbon reduction path in cement industry. Huaxin has strictly implemented the Special Action Plan for Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction in Cement Industry issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, and has achieved remarkable results in the fields of alternative fuel application and waste co-disposal by tackling key technical problems and optimizing the management system. Many of its factories have been awarded the national energy efficiency "leader", which vividly interprets the era theme of "green transformation, energy conservation".
