On October 8, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Meishan City, Sichuan Province, issued an announcement on the ecological environment impact assessment document of the "High-efficiency Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell Intelligent Technology Upgrading and Renovation Project".
The content shows that Tongwei Solar Energy (Meishan) Co., Ltd. intends to carry out factory reconstruction. At present, the main products of Tongwei Meishan Factory are solar cells , with an annual production capacity of 52.5G W/year, divided into five workshops (S1-S5), all of which adopt TOPCon technology.
The construction scale of S1 and S2 workshops is 16GW, the construction scale of S3 workshop is 12.5GW, and the construction scale of S4 and S5 workshops is 24GW. Among them, S1, S2 and S4 workshops are in normal operation, S3 workshop stops construction , and S5 workshop is carrying out acceptance work.
This reconstruction upgrades the existing N-type high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cell production lines in S2 and S4 workshops with intelligent technology.
Wherein, the S2 workshop is added with a photoetching printing and degumming cleaning process; the S4 workshop adjusts the back laser SE to photoetching printing, transfers the dicing + passivation process to the S3 workshop, and adds a degumming cleaning process; The annual production capacity of 12.5G WN-type high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cell production line in S3 workshop was completely cancelled, and the related production equipment was dismantled, and the S3 workshop was transformed into a multi-slice + passivation process matched with S2 and S4 workshops. After the
reconstruction, the main production processes of S2 and S4 workshops are the same, and the overall capacity of S2, S3 and S4 workshops is reduced from 32.85 GW/year to 32.40 GW/year . The capacity of Tongwei Meishan Company is reduced from 52.50GW/year to 52.05GW/year . The total investment of the
reconstruction is 200 million yuan, which is scheduled to be completed in January 2028.
