Over the past three years, Chen Qi has led the team to optimize the formula hundreds of times in order to design photovoltaic cells with more stability and longer life in the space environment.

Chen Qi told reporters that at present, the cost of gallium arsenide batteries mainly used in the market is as high as 100000-300000 yuan per square meter, while the cost of perovskite batteries is less than one tenth of that.

According to the report, Chen Qi started his business for half a year and has set up an engineering and commercial team to build the world's first perovskite space photovoltaic pilot line in Changping, Beijing. He expects to achieve mass production in 2027 and start commercial sales in 2028.
