

On June 30, the Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway (Xishi high-speed rail), which was built by several units of China Railway, was put into operation.


Xishi high-speed rail is an important part of the longitudinal corridor of the high-speed railway network in the national medium and long-term railway planning, as well as an important "one horizontal" in the "six vertical and four horizontal" railway network planning of Hubei Province and an important "one horizontal" in the "meter" shaped high-speed railway network planning of Shaanxi Province. The line starts from Xi'an East Railway Station, passes through Xi'an City, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province and Shiyan City, Hubei Province, and connects to Shiyan East Railway Station, which has been built and put into operation from Wuhan to Shiyan high-speed rail, with a total length of 257 km, a design speed of 350 km per hour and a total of 7 stations. China Railway First Bureau, Third Bureau, Fourth Bureau, Seventh Bureau, Beijing Bureau, Shanghai Bureau, Tunnel Bureau, Wuhan Electrification Bureau, China Railway Baoqiao and other units under China Railway participated in the construction, undertaking part of the civil engineering, station building, and four power construction tasks.



Since the start of construction, the participating units of China Railway have put the concept of green development throughout the whole process of railway planning, design and construction, intensified scientific research efforts, strengthened safety, quality and environmental protection control, and promoted the construction of high-quality and efficient projects. Key projects such as Camel Tunnel, Kangjiahe Bridge, Xiling Tunnel, Xilushan Tunnel and Manchuanguan Fuyin Expressway Interchange Bridge have been completed, laying a solid foundation for the opening and operation of the project. The opening and operation of


the Xishi high-speed rail will further improve the national high-speed railway network, close the space-time distance between Shaanxi and the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and other regions, strengthen the links between the Guanzhong urban agglomeration and the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, help the rural revitalization of the Qinba Mountains, and better support the co-construction of the "the Belt and Road" and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is of great significance to promote the economic and social development along the line.
